MCR Property Group are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join our successful and expanding team!
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be providing commercial expertise and be responsible for the financial delivery of the assigned projects. To ensure that they are procured and delivered within budget.
Based in Bristol, you will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager / Construction Director and running monthly reports, costings, contract / subcontract packages and variations. There will be a team of Project Managers working alongside you on these projects.
Responsibilities:
- Experience of pre and post contract administration including preparing cost plans, estimates, tendering and procurement, value engineering, tender report, valuation and accounts
- Knowledge of the Construction industry processes and procedures
- Knowledge of building materials, techniques and systems
- Developer, PQS or main contracting experience
- Experience in cost reporting and financial controls
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry processes and procedure
- Thorough knowledge of current forms of contract
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc or equivalent)
- MRICS qualified or seeking qualification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a QS experience, working on a range of projects
- UK based Construction experience
- Experience of Prop-man would be preferable but not essential
